We form Builders before we activate them
Creative Genius Africa is a developmental programme, not a course to be completed. We exist to help young people across Africa become people who notice, imagine, reason, express, cooperate, persist and contribute — and to show families the evidence of that growth.
Our conviction
Most learning products measure activity: lessons watched, quizzes passed, streaks kept. We measure none of those things. A child can complete every activity and still not have grown, and a child can grow enormously in a single honest attempt.
So we built the programme around evidence and interpretation. Builders make and reflect; mentors read what they made and write what it shows. Development is described in words a parent can understand, never reduced to a number.
Formation before activation means we would rather a Builder spend longer becoming capable than be pushed onward to look productive.

Broader capabilities that draw on several domains at once. They are signalled by accumulated skill evidence, never awarded.
Forty-three Skills
The specific things a mentor can actually see in a piece of work. Each interpretation names one skill and explains what the evidence shows.
Who is behind it
Creative Genius Africa is run by The Zone. The programme, its curriculum for Levels 1–4 and its mentor guides were authored and approved by the programme team; Levels 5 and 6 are still being written and are not offered yet.
