How It Works
A clear path from first sign-up to a genuine picture of development
Creative Genius Africa is built on one rule: formation before activation. Here is exactly what happens, step by step, and where a human being makes each decision.
1. Create a guardian account and add your Builder
A parent or guardian signs up, then adds each child as a Builder. Age places the Builder in a starting Level (Explorer, Discoverer, Creator or Innovator). Placement is recorded in the Builder's history from day one.
2. Choose an offering and complete enrolment
Pick the online class or programme access that fits your Builder's Level. Enrolment starts as pending until payment is confirmed by the programme team; you can see the status on your dashboard at any time.
3. The Builder works through the journey
Every stage follows the same loop: Explore, Do, Reflect, Submit. What the Builder makes and writes becomes raw evidence. Nothing is graded on submission and nothing is unlocked by finishing.
4. A mentor reads the evidence
An assigned mentor — authorised by the programme — reads each submission and writes an interpretation: what this evidence shows about a specific Skill. Only a human writes this; the platform never infers mastery.
5. Domain states and readiness are human judgements
Across the seven Learning Domains a mentor records where a Builder currently sits (from Emerging to Extending) and why. When a mentor sees readiness they raise a readiness signal with written rationale.
6. Official progression is a separate decision
A mentor may recommend that a Builder moves to the next Level, but only a programme authority can approve it. Every decision is appended to the Builder's level history; nothing is overwritten.
7. Families see development, not dashboards of points
Guardians see placement, domain states, evidence, skill interpretations, competency signals and history — in plain language. There are no percentages, leaderboards or badges for finishing.
What the platform will never do
- Turn submissions into scores, grades or percentages.
- Move a Builder to a new Level automatically.
- Treat attendance at an online class as evidence of development.
- Let a guardian or a mentor change a Builder's official placement directly.
- Rank Builders against each other.
